Granvia Hotel | Kyoto | Thursday, November 13, 2014, 1:30 to 8:00 p.m.

The Japan Germany Industry Forum (JGIF) is the Germany Trade & Invest event with the greatest level of publicity and visibility abroad. With an annually changing industry focus, the forum highlights the multifaceted and outstanding position German industry enjoys within the European market. As well as presentations outlining the general framework conditions for investment in Germany, both German and Japanese companies are provided with a platform to present their current and planned activities in their respective industries.

A longstanding commitment to activities in Japan and the high level of visibility associated with these events regularly results in the active participation of more than 200 distinguished guests from business and politics.

2014 marks the 10th anniversary of this successful industry event, this year with the theme “INDUSTRIE 4.0: Smart Manufacturing for the Future”. Renowned German and Japanese experts from the worlds of industry and R&D will present their positions on the importance of INDUSTRIE 4.0 for the future of production, their current and future activities in this field and the necessary requirements for transforming the vision of INDUSTRIE 4.0 into reality.

The Japanese industry side of the plenum will be completed with the presence of a company who will outline their own innovation potential and/or provide a testimonial report of an investment made in Germany.

The forum will be rounded off with the German Business Lounge, which will provide sufficient networking opportunities as part of a joint dinner.
