Despite an economic slump in 2020 caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Germany's economy is expected to be back on track by 2022. In a European-wide survey conducted in 2021, Germany was the highest ranking country of all EU member states with “the most credible and investment-friendly COVID-19 recovery plans.”
