Paris festival workshop showcases Germany’s Smart Territories
Berlin (GTAI) - Paris hosts Europe's biggest digital festival from June 8-18, including three days of conference and workshops in the Grand Halle de la Villette from June 8-10.
On Thursday June 8, Germany's federal economic development agency, Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), will host one of these workshops in Le Hall de la Chanson at 10.45. The theme is Smart Territories.
The 90-minute series of talks will feature input from several private firms who have enjoyed market success in Germany's digital economy, as well as representatives from two of the most digitally-active states: Bavaria and Hamburg. You will hear how the future of smart mobility is imagined and driven forward in Bavaria by leading car manufacturers, promising start-ups and institutions like the Digital Hub Mobility. Among other initiatives, Hamburg’s representatives will be presenting the Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg project, a multi-sector digital overhaul of the city’s business ecosystem. You will also get a chance to discuss with the experts in speed networking sessions.
Following the talks, there will be a drinks reception and networking event at the venue. "Digitisation is the current buzzword of the world's economy. It is present in all industries, from simple service solutions to entire supply chains and complex production lines," said Oliver Wilken, Senior Manager of Investor Services at GTAI. "Germany's government has laid a significant foundation in this direction with its digital strategy 2025. The country, as the workshop will demonstrate, provides an excellent innovative culture and investment conditions for cutting-edge research and development in the ICT industry. Europe's largest economy is the perfect place to set value-adding innovation free, as this workshop and its talks will demonstrate."
