US entrepreneurs praise Germany as business location
AmCham’s 2019 Transatlantic Business Barometer shows continued confidence
Berlin (GTAI) - American companies still love doing business in Germany – that’s the conclusion of the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany’s annual survey of US entrepreneurs in the country.
A whopping 81% of those surveyed rate locations in Germany as “very good” or “good,” and more people thought those conditions would improve than worsen over the next 3-4 years.
77% of American businesspeople in Germany expected their revenues to go up in 2019, and a majority predicted that they would add employees and increase investments. 59% said that they planned on expanding their activities in Germany.
The advantages most often singled out for praise were “quality of employees” (97%), “quality of supplier networks” (89%) and “potential as a sales market” (84%).
“With many analysts worrying about a global economic slowdown, AmCham’s numbers are good news for Germany,” says Germany Trade & Invest CEO Robert Hermann. “They reflect a basic optimism and faith among American businesspeople, where Germany is concerned.”
