High-Tech Strategy - THESEUS
A lighthouse project within the High-Tech Strategy, THESEUS is the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy-promoted Internet of Applications and Services R&D program which ran from 2007 to 2012.
MEDICO
Within the framework of THESEUS, 60 research partners from science and industry developed new Internet of Services-based technologies for deployment in a number of different industry sector scenarios including health care. The MEDICO project makes use of innovative imaging techniques and semantic technologies to intelligently structure methods of measurement to transform diagnostics
High-Tech Strategy - Trusted Cloud
Thirty-eight companies, 26 scientific institutions and five further institutions are currently participating in the program’s 14 projects. Research and development activities were initiated in September 2011 and will continue through to the end of 2014.
The "Health Sector Applications" cluster consists of three research projects. Medical data is particularly sensitive and confidential in nature, making the safeguarding of confidentiality imperative.
Cloud-based applications which meet the exacting requirements of the health sector and make efficiency potential, utilizable, for example, through simulation data analysis, are being developed within the three Trusted Cloud health sector projects (cloud4health, GeneCloud and TRESOR). Practical solutions tailored to the requirements of small and medium-sized enterprises are also prioritized in this sector.
