Webinar Review: Hydrogen: wHere wHy wHat wHo wHen and How

Event: Mar 23, 2021 - Mar 24, 2021 Location: Tour, Germany

All paths lead to Hydrogen. The future of Germany’s Hydrogen Economy is upon us. Industrial participation, media attention, governmental support and the will-of-the-people have never been higher.  Hydrogen, until now a missing link of future energy, is set to be the net beneficiary of the redundancies and casualties of Germany’s post-modern energy vectors.

During the two-day webinar Germany Trade and Invest guided the participants through today’s energy landscape, and highlighted the partners, places, and paths that will be critical in achieving Germany’s Energy Transition.

Each presentation can be downloaded at the relevant link shown below the speaker's name.

Lusatia: From coal to cool with green hydrogen

With strong support from the German Federal Government the energy region Lusatia is not only transforming its energy vector from coal to green energy sources, hydrogen being the most prominent and innovative among them.

Lusatia region is aiming at developing other industrial fields as well, utilizing the green energy for green applications. Well-known companies like Siemens Energy, LEAG and BASF have started large investments in Lusatia and initiated projects like the Hydrogen Campus Görlitz or the new BASF site for cathode material production for EV batteries. The Hydrogen Campus Görlitz developed by Siemens Energy and Fraunhofer is dedicated to become a landing facility for international companies searching for R&D, cooperation and market entry.
