Brief description of the Contract:

The “Forest Programme IV: Mamasa Watershed, Sulawesi” supports the Government of Indonesia to promote the rehabilitation of Mamasa watersheds and conservation of biodiversity in the Gandang Dewata landscapes in West Sulawesi, Indonesia. The four intended outputs of the programme are:

• Strengthening the co-operation of key stakeholders to improve watershed management (in the Mamasa Watershed)
• Strengthening of Forest Management in Selected KPHs in Project Area to Support Watershed Management
•  Empowering people in selected villages to support watershed management
• Gandang Dewata National Park development and management

Requested consulting services:

Qualified consulting agencies (alone or in cooperation) with proven regional expertise are invited to submit applications. The consultants shall provide the following national and international expertise:
1. Participatory community-based forestry, agroforestry, and natural resource-based livelihoods development
2. Forest management planning, forest restoration and rehabilitation
3. Watershed landscape development and rehabilitation, community-based soil and water conservation
4. Protected area planning and management
5. National and sub-national government policy and regulations
6. Capacity building for community, civil society and local government
7. Project management including financial management and procurement
8. Monitoring and evaluation
9. Remote sensing/GIS
10. Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF)
11. Payment Environment Service (PES) framework development
12. Strategic environmental assessment
