Brief description of the Contract:

The “Rehabilitation and Climate Prevention Program in the Water Sector” aims to support two Water Supply and SanitaService Providers (EPS) in the rehabilitation of water and sanitation services in the cities of Trujillo and Chimbote, thus improving the resilience of both cities. The sanitation infrastructure in these two cities was damaged by the floods generated by the climatic phenomenon “el Niño Costero” The measures included in the Program have been divided into two types:

- Type A measures: Concrete measures of an immediate nature in the context of post-emergency reconstruction and rehabilitation in the service area of the EPS for water and sanitation.

- Category B measures: Concrete investment and urban planning measures in the water and sanitation sector aimed at mitigating similar damages in the future. The expected duration of the required services is estimated at 26 months

Requested Services:

The key tasks of the consulting services will be accurately described in the terms of reference that prequalified companies will receive. Tasks include, roughly, the following topics:

a) The preparation of technical files, preparing the definitive designs of all measures, and developing detailed engineering.

b) The preparation of the bidding documents for the tender of the works.

c) Advice to the PNSU in all phases of the process (evaluation of the offers received, award of contracts and drafting them)

d) The supervision and reception of the works.

e) Control costs, reception and advice in the start-up and operation phases of the facilities.

f) Carry out the monitoring of the measures, prepare the progress reports of each of the works, the expenses incurred, the expected results and also develop measures to correct the deviations that are present in terms of the execution of the works.
