Consulting Services for Center for Entrepreneurship (C4E) (Entrepreneurship, Employability and Employment)

Project

The project entails the establishment and equipment of a “Centre for Entrepreneurship” (C4E) at the Kenya industrial Estates (KIE) which is a State Corporation in the Minstry of Cooperatives and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development.

Requested Services

The Implementation consultant shall undertake the following activities in collaboration with Project Implementation Unit (PIU):

• Assist PIU in the day-to-day operation of the C4E (incl. financial management)
• Elaborating the project details and develop the project operation manual;
• Support in the preparation of project reports;
• Provide advisory and assist in designing and implementing the Tender Processes for an online platform, the project voucher system, the makers Space (common user facility); 
• Developing an M&E framework for the Project, including baseline and tracer studies;
• Monitoring of the implementation of environmental and social matters as well as the application of health and safety standards; 
• Develop the criteria for accreditation for service/providers and management;
• Advising SDMSMEs on the best interventions to implement and sustain the Project from time to time;
• Close collaborations/coordination with German Technical Cooperation (TC) that is further supporting the Project through complementary TC measures, as well as other relevant actors in Kenya;
• Develop collaboration framework with other government institutions in identifying MSMEs that need the service of the centre;
• Design and develop the ToRs for tendering sensitization and outreach programme.
