Marco-Alexander Breit wurde 1981 in Neunkirchen / Saarland geboren. Von 2001 bis 2008 studierte er Politikwissenschaft, Soziologie sowie Mittlere und Neuere Geschichte an der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg sowie Internationale Politische Ökonomie an der Katholischen Universität Leuven / Belgien. Von 2008 bis 2014 hatte er verschiedene Positionen in der Staatskanzlei des Saarlandes inne, darunter Leiter des Büros des Chefs der Staatskanzlei und Ministers für Bund, Kultur und Medien (2010-2011) sowie ab 2011 Leiter des Büros von Ministerpräsidentin Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer. Ab April 2014 war er als Persönlicher Referent des Chefs des Bundeskanzleramts und Bundesministers für besondere Aufgaben, Peter Altmaier, im Bundeskanzleramt Berlin tätig. Von April 2018 bis Juli 2019 leitete Breit das Referat für Grundsätze der Digitalpolitik und Koordinierung im Bundeswirtschaftsministerium. Seit August 2019 leitet er die Stabstelle Künstliche Intelligenz im Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie.
Enrico Lyb is a Senior Innovation Architect for the Chronic Care Management Business Line at Siemens Healthineers Japan. In his role he is responsible for driving co-creation projects with customers in the Asia-Pacific region as well as coordinating product development activities between Headquarter and near-shore teams. Prior to his current position, he worked on Innovation projects in the area of Clinical Decision Support after joining Siemens in 2014, by integrating relevant clinical information into the physician’s workflow. He held Software Architecture and Product Development roles for various products in Radiology Imaging, Advanced 3D Visualization, and Healthcare IT with companies in Germany and USA, before he relocated to Japan in 2009. Enrico has over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare industry, working closely with customers and partners to enable better outcomes for patients at lower costs.

Dietmar Frey is a neurosurgeon and the founding director of the Charité Lab for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. After obtaining a law degree and passing the bar examination in Berlin in 2003 Dietmar went to Charité Medical School. In 2007, he graduated and specialized in the Charité Department of Neurosurgery. He is a certified board member in neurosurgery since 2013. For the last 4 years, he has been working on advancing stroke treatment by personalized data-driven stroke prediction. Funded by several federal grants (€2.5m) he has built a strong interdisciplinary team of physicians, software engineers and computer scientists to develop an AI-based decision support system that provides risk scoring and treatment planning in stroke. In addition, he leads PRECISE4Q, a joint venture of 11 partners in Europe to create data-driven support systems for medicine. It is funded via the Horizon 2020 framework with €5.9m. He just finished an MBA with the University of London at Queen Mary’s College.
The project PREDICTioN 2020 provides AI-based prediction of stroke outcome. An interdisciplinary team of stroke experts, AI-engineers, researchers and developers is dedicated to advance stroke treatment.

Akira Kitamura is General Manager of the AI Drug Development Division under the Business Innovation Unit at NEC Corporation in Tokyo. The division seeks to expand the application of NEC’s cutting-edge AI technologies to cancer drug development that focuses on advanced immunotherapy as part of enhancing its healthcare business. He leads corporate level mid-to-long term new business development initiatives which includes the creation of business cases, raising internal and external funding and conducting market validation. He has a stellar track record in the field of business development where, for instance, he successfully launched a spin-off venture called CYTLIMIC which focuses on the clinical development of therapeutic peptide vaccines.
