German Session
From Pipe to Power: Building a Hydrogen Ready Energy System in Germany

This session brings together key infrastructure stakeholders to explore pathways toward a hydrogen ready energy system in Germany. It offers a system wide perspective spanning transmission and distribution networks, import infrastructure, and hydrogen ready power generation.

It will examine how regulation translates into real world project implementation, linking backbone pipelines, distribution networks, import corridors, and hydrogen ready generation capacity into a coherent system view.

The discussion will address the technical, economic, and systemic requirements for scaling hydrogen infrastructure, drawing on practical project experience and highlighting current bottlenecks. A central focus will be the regulatory and political framework shaping infrastructure development, including recent legislative and policy instruments influencing network planning, asset conversion, and investment decisions.
