Sanitation Programme: NEXUS and Resource Protection - Component C3: Rehabilitation and Upgrade of the WWTP in As Salt
- Part 1 - Reconstruction and Upgrading of the existing Salt WWTP for capacity 25,000m3/d. The reconstructed WWTP will comprise: Inlet Works; screening, flow measurement, grit & grease removal, primary settlement tanks, bioreactors, final settlement tanks, effluent filtration and disinfection, sludge thickeners, sludge digesters, combined heat and power (CHP) generators including gas cleaning, sludge dewatering, sludge holding and drying area, all ancillary structures and facilities for a complete operational WWTP. The Works will be done in two stages, Stage 2 will only commence when Stage 1 is Taken Over and in operation.
- Part 2 - Operations: The Contractor shall be fully responsible for operation of the reconstructed and upgraded WWTP from handover of the Stage 1 Works until 2 years following handover of the Stage 2 Works
