In the Global Sentiment Survey on Europe 2026, which was carried out by Deutsche Bank, decisionmakers found the continent and its largest economy most attractive for investments.
Oct 22, 2026
The international poll was carried out online and featured 1200 heads of companies with more than one hundred employees. 90 percent rated Europe among the top three regions in the world, and 35 percent saw it as the most attractive place for investments. That put Europe ahead of both North America and Asia-Pacific (without China).
81 percent said that Europe’s significance for their decision-making had increased in the past three years. 61 percent of respondents said they had already invested in Europe and planned to increase their activity on the continent in the coming five years.
Respondents cited growth opportunities, the potential of AI, international networks and relationships, and stability as qualities that make Europe attractive.
Within the continent, Germany ranked highest. 56 percent of respondents said the country was among their top three European investment destinations. 29 percent called Germany their preferred investment destination, putting the country ahead of the United Kingdom and France.
Germany’s popularity results from the diversity of its strengths. Survey participants praised German infrastructure and logistics, innovation and AI, industrial performance, qualified workforce, and market growth scaling potential.
