Consulting, SME Lending/Private Sector Promotion

Brief description of the Contract:

The objective of the project is to provide SME loans through Ethiopian financial institutions where the DBE plays the role of an apex-institution. The program aims at improving the contribution of SME to poverty reduction and to contribute to the creation of jobs via an enhanced access to financing.

Requested Services:

• The main activities of the Consultant are supposed to include the support of participating financial institutions to implement or amend the existing credit technologies, procedures and policies needed for SME lending; appropriate training and capacity building measures for the staff in charge and management in the participating financial institutions and the DBE. Duration: approximately 30 months
