Consulting Services, Construction of a Regional Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant

Brief description of the Contract:

Within the framework of the German Financial Cooperation with Burkina Faso through the KfW Development Bank, the German government is supporting a project that aims to contribute to the recovery of Burkina Faso's electricity sector and to ensure its sustainable energy security in order to provide the population with quality energy at a lower cost. The project is part of the diversification of Burkina Faso's energy mix, which is in line with the framework of the West African Power Pool (WAPP). In addition, the project will lead to the stabilization of the regional electricity network with a view to respecting the environment in Burkina Faso.

• The objective of the Consultant's mission under this contract is to provide its expertise in engineering, design and construction supervision to the Project Owner in order to ensure the efficient implementation of the construction and equipment of a 14 MWp Regional Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant with 4 MWh Storage (with a possibility of extension of the plant up to approx. 30 MWp and 10 MWh) in Matourkou, south of the city of Bobo-Dioulasso, close to the Kodéni substation.
