Consulting Services for the Implementation Support, Indo-German Global Centre for Agroecology Research and Learning (IGGCARL)

Brief description of the Contract:

The Centre for Agroecological Research and Learning (IGGCARL) delivers convincing research results - according to internationally acknowledged scientific standards - that further agro-ecological farming in Andhra Pradesh and beyond, and improve rural livelihoods, in terms of incomes, food, nutrition, and health security while enhancing eco system services". The key outputs are:

1. The IGGCARL is established and operational in every relevant respect,
2. Research work according to internationally accepted standards is continuously conducted, as well as
3. Scientifically substantiated research results are effectively and efficiently disseminated among the IGGCARL's users and beneficiaries, thus improving their agroecological skills and knowledge.

Requested Services:

The IMC will support the PEA to achieve efficient preparation and implementation of the project objectives in the following domains:

1. Assistance for organizational development including (contract) research programming
2. Assistance for project management, budgeting, design and implementation
3. Research networking with other academic institutions and fund raising, strategic partnerships
4. Establish and accompany (at least initially) IGGCARL recruitment processes
5. Project monitoring
6. Preparation of Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF)
