Project Measures:

Recently, two Feasibility Studies investigated the “biogas potential” of the existing Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) across Jordan which mainly apply the extended aeration process. The studies recommended to upgrade the treatment processes of WWTPs South Amman and West Jerash to anaerobic sludge digestion and electricity generation by biogas. The current tender is focussing on WWTP West Jerash and related plants from “Cluster 1” (i.e. East Jerash and Kufranjah). Similar services for WWTP South Amman are tendered in a separate tendering process.

Brief Description of the Contract:

• Consulting services to support the implementation of the upgrade of WWTP West Jerash to anaerobic sludge digestion and electricity generation by biogas as well as other modifications to WWTPs West Jerash, East Jerash and Kufranjah in order to improve their operation; tasks: preparing detailed designs, tender documents and carrying out supervision services and transaction advisory services
