A floating solar photovoltaic (FPV) project with a capacity of approx. 40 MWp is currently being developed by KenGen (Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC). German bilateral Financial Cooperation (FC) funds are earmarked for this Project, which is being implemented by the German Development Bank (KfW)

Brief Description of the Contract:

• Carry out a detailed feasibility study and to assess the technical, financial, environmental and social feasibility of the FPV power plant, to be installed on Kamburu hydropower plant reservoir; the feasibility study has to be detailed enough to form a basis for project financing and to initiate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) negotiations.
