Implementation Consultant for the Procurement of Building Infrastructure Linked to Early Childhood Centres in South Africa

Requested Services: 

The project seeks to support the Republic of South Africa in efforts to strengthen early childhood development (ECD) programs through improved building infrastructure within underserviced low-income communities.  

The main contributions of the Implementation Consultant will be to assist the PEA in the following tasks:

• Support in tendering and contracting of local service providers;
• Support the PEA to manage building contractors and submit regulatory approval linked to ECD infrastructure (new builds and renovations);
• Design and develop community spaces (e.g. playgrounds) within informal settlements;
• Support in the PEA financial, procurement and budget planning processes;
• Ensure adherence and compliance of activities with national and international environmental, social health and safety (ESHS) and engineering standards.
