Project:
The Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA) is an African Union Commission intervention implemented by the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and financed by the German Government and the European Union. SIFA promotes young Africans’ employment prospects by supporting innovative skills development initiatives in close cooperation with the private sector as an integral stakeholder in the creation of jobs. Specific attention is directed at fostering the employment and entrepreneurship of youth, women and vulnerable groups. SIFA provides support to TVET actors in selected pilot countries for strengthening skills development, and to create employment opportunities for youth.
Requested Services:
The primary objective of the assignment is to provide technical assistance to the SIFA Funding Window I project: (i) Institut National de Formation Agricole (INFA) de Tové, with project entitled “Inclusive Work-Linked Training in Agribusiness”.
The objectives of the consultant are the following:
Country specific technical advisory services for SIFA FC Togo awarded projects’ implementation, following the SIFA FC Operational Guidelines:
Support the SIFA-financed curricula development and training of trainers’ activities
Support the SIFA-required equipment list and specification elaboration in alignment with curricula development
Support the development of scholarship and inclusive strategies in alignment with the SIFA requirements
Support the SIFA-financed works design and construction activities through the creation of strong planning and management structures
Provide project management mentoring to the grantee, creating sustainable management structures for the life of SIFA. This will include daily weekly and monthly decision-making structures, monitoring and evaluation and reporting
Foster relationships with the grantees, their project partners, national stakeholders and the SIFA Country Coordinator
Participate and contribute to other SIFA projects to provide alignment and synergies of the entire SIFA portfolio in TOGO.
