The Financial Cooperation Program for the offer of Sustainable Housing in Mexico (EcoCasa), consists of the financing of projects within the framework of the National Appropriate Action for Mitigation (NAMA) of Sustainable Housing. It also includes financing for sustainable rental housing projects and with the new EcoCasa IV project, it is expected to include sustainable urbanization and improvement of sustainable housing.
The loan is part of the EcoCasa program, a joint effort of the KfW, SHF and the Inter-American Development Bank -IDB-, to promote sustainable housing in Mexico, through the implementation of different financial instruments, particularly construction loans, accompanied with mortgage loans and subsidies.
The financing of the program is supported by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ, in German language), which will contribute resources from the Climate Change and Environmental Protection Initiative (IKLU in German language), within the framework of the Loan Agreement
Interested consulting firms, associations, consortia or joint association, can participate in this national public tender in the framework described above and present proposals in Spanish language, to develop the Consulting services, EcoCasa IV feasibility study- Financing Scheme for the Acquisition of Sustainable Housing for a non- affiliated (population with restricted access to the mortgage and financial sector) at Sociedad Hipotecaria Federal. The EcoCasa IV Feasibility Study - Financing Scheme for the Acquisition of Sustainable Housing for a non-affiliated population must be developed in order to determine the viability and define the guidelines under which ECO URBA with the objective of identifying the market viability including the design of the structure and financial characteristics of the product, requirements to request for the future client, the procedure for the implementation and operation of the scheme within SHF.
