Germany Issues EUR 150 Million Call for Digital Projects

The German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has launched a new digitalization initiative called Manufacturing-X.

The new program is intended to push forward data-driven cooperation between industrial companies along value-creation chains. Consortiums have the chance to submit project proposals until the end of 2023.

“The industrial initiative Manufacturing-X is an important level for digitally transforming industry,” said Minister Robert Habeck in a statement. “It will help German industry go from an equipper of factories to a digital equipper for the whole world.”

The initiative is aimed at companies, industrial associations and other stakeholders. It will run until the end of 2026 at the latest.
