Smart farming technologies are in demand in Germany. The country is Europe’s second biggest agricultural production nation - with turnover of almost EUR 74 billion in 2024. Almost half of the country’s land mass is used for farming purposes, with the market in Europe set to grow by almost 19 percent through to 2034.

Germany is one of Europe’s leading agricultural nations. The country’s commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly production is creating increased demand for smart farming technologies that provide the necessary solution for harvest security, natural resource protection and chemical and pesticide use reductions. Domestic market volume continues to grow, with almost 86 percent of all farmers using digital technologies on their farms in 2025. Innovation made in Germany is transforming the way the world farms, with the country being the international number two for digital agriculture patents and the world’s third biggest manufacturer of agricultural robots.
