VC Deals Have German Start-Ups’ Values Rocketing Skyward

Isar Aerospace, Munich, aerospace, EUR 270 million

This high-flyer from the Bavarian capital concluded another successful funding round that took its valuation to some EUR 2 billion. Isar is currently preparing the next test flight for its Spectrum rocket.

eleQtron, Siegen, quantum computing, EUR 57 million

This start-up from western Germany specialized in controlling ions with microwaves to produce scalable quantum computers. Its successful Series A funding round was led by two of Germany’s leading retail supermarket chains.

NVision, Ulm, quantum computing/health, USD 50 million

Another quantum computing company, this time from Germany’s south, also racked up an impressive haul, here in a Series B funding round. NVision intends to use the money for a global roll-out of its MRI system POLARIS.
