Project Description:
Within the framework of the German Financial Cooperation with Albania funds were provided to the Albanian government for investment measures in the Water and Wastewater Sectors which earmark medium sized cities. Additional funds were provided by EU under the IPA 2018 action, directed to wastewater by the Swiss government through SECO. The Municipal Infrastructure Programme V (MIP V) includes the city of Shkodra. The focus of the project is the improvement of water supply system and the reduction of Non-revenue Water.
Planned Works
Water Supply Measures: in the areas of Dobraci and Golemi (Shkodra):
Supply and installation of total ~54km water distribution network pipes diameter ≤ OD250PE and transmission main pipes ~3km DN600DCI and ~1km OD400PE, including electro-fusion fittings, valves, consumer water meters (~3250 pcs), hydrants (~60pcs), ~1820 house connections in PE-RCOD20–63, incl. construction of chambers, as well as supply and installation of electro-magnetic bulk flow meters (~11 pcs) for district metering. Disconnection of existing steel distribution main pipes ≤DN500.
