Construction, Rehabilitation and Modernization of a Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant

Project:

• The objective of the project is to maintain the generation and pumping capability of the Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant Čapljina for at least 15 years and to increase its reliability and availability for the next operating period, with particular emphasis on the provision of ancillary services to the power system and on balancing new renewable energy sources. 

Requested Services:

The Employer intends to award one Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract covering the required design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning for the rehabilitation and modernization of the plant. The principal components include:

• Replacement of control systems
• Replacement of turbine regulation systems
• Replacement of AC and DC auxiliary power supply systems
• Replacement of electromechanical indicators, measuring transducers, actuators and associated pipelines; and 
• Replacement of transformers for the plant’s own-consumption / auxiliary supply:
