Consulting Services for Technical Assistance to Support the COMESA Regional Customs Transit Guarantee Scheme

CANCELLATION OF TENDER 

Project:

The project is part of a strategic partnership between the African Trade Insurance Agency (ATIDI) and KfW Development Bank, acting on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project supports the implementation and expansion of the COMESA Regional Customs Transit Guarantee (RCTG) scheme - an initiative critical to facilitating intra-African trade and operationalizing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Requested Consultant services:  

The Consultant shall deliver support across key areas:

• Improvement of risk management frameworks within the RCTG system with a focus on detecting and preventing trade-related and tariff-related Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs);

• Strengthening of underwriting capacity of insurance companies participating in the RCTG system by delivery of capacity building measures;

• Collaboration with COMESA Secretariat, ZEP Re, customs bodies, and trade facilitators.
