Consulting Services, Feasibility Study for Development of a Maternity Hospital

CANCELLATION OF TENDER

Project:

During the 2019 Niger-Germany Intergovernmental Consultations, the Nigerian health authorities requested KfW support for the construction of a mother-child hospital in Niamey to replace the current referral maternity unit, whose cramped premises and low hospital capacity due to the malfunctioning of the peripheral units de facto affect the quality of care provided to mothers and children. A project to relocate and build the current Issaka Gazoby Maternity Hospital (MIG) must be put in place. Beyond this real estate issue, the authorities' ambition is to make it a 3rd or 4th level hospital so that it becomes a center of excellence and training in reproductive health. It is part of the process of strengthening Niger's health system in general and access to care for mothers and children

• Survey of current MIG status and demand forecast for the new hospital

• Sizing and positioning of a bioclimatic maternity hospital

• Estimating the financial component

• Analysis of the governance mode of the project and the supporting structure

• Definition and analysis of the target group
