Civil Works & Hydr. Steel Works (Harpo Hydropower Project)

Requested Services:

civil works and hyd. steel works:

• Weir structure, consisting of a free overflow weir section for flood discharge and a Tyrolean weir section for water diversion into the power conduit system of the power generation plant;
• Power conduit system, comprising of a concrete lined power channel, a forebay structure with integrated desanding structure and overflow system, a 2. km long, low pressure, buried penstock, a vertical, steel lined pressure shaft, a steel lined, high-pressure tunnel with upstream manifold branches, and a free flow tailrace chute;
• Surface powerhouse structure, housing the two (2) power generating units of 17.25 MW capacity each, including auxiliary mechanical and electrical systems;
• Hydraulic steel structure equipment for the entire hydropower power station;
• Access facilities, consisting of the construction of a suspension bridge across the Indus River near Shot village, an access road to the powerhouse site, and upgradation of the existing, unpaved track to the forebay and weir sites.
