Requested Services:
Implementation of a study to define synchronous zones and the optimal placement of Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) for inertia monitoring and tracking on the grid of the South African transmission system operator NTCSA. This study will, inter alia, identify critical substations, tie-lines and network areas for PMU placement, validate the proposed locations through modelling and simulation, and provide a roadmap for integration with the Transmission Power System Control and Monitoring (TPSCM) project and the existing inertia prototype tool, including future inertia monitoring and mitigation recommendations.
