Climate adapted urban Infrastructure and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Program for Tunduma and Vwawa-Mlowo towns in Tanzania
Qualified independent Consultants are invited to submit a Prequalification Document for Consulting Services for the elaboration of the Feasibility Study aiming to prepare the climate adapted urban infrastructure and IWRM program for Tunduma and Vwawa-Mlowo towns following a holistic multi-sector approach with the focus on water security. This approach shall encompass preparatory measures to support the sustainable management of water resources, physical infrastructure to ensure water supply and sanitation services, stormwater management and flood control and possibly other municipal services as well as accompanying measures to ensure the sustainable operation of the physical infrastructure. The programme aims to provide improved water security to the population of the two rapidly growing urban centers by sustainably operated climate resilient infrastructure. The Feasibility Study shall elaborate the details of the integrated and holistic approach, apply this approach to the two towns Tunduma and Vwawa-Mlowo, identify individual Projects and prepare selected individual Projects for both towns on feasibility and preliminary design level. The Feasibility Study includes the analysis of target groups and stakeholders, the gender analysis as well as the elaboration of a Preliminary Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF).
