Brief description of the Contract:

For the development of Hydropower and Renewable Energy II (HRE II) – Component I (Hydropower) in the region, a Pre-feasibility study was undertaken and 4 Hydropower plants have been identified with an installed capacity between 1MW -2MW. Two out of these four HHPs will be newly constructed HHPs (Batura and New Sumayar II), while the other two are rehabilitation projects of existing HHPs (Chalt I and Hassanabad I). The projects are located in the Hunza and Nagar districts of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Requested services:

The requested consultancy services for the 4 Hydropower projects is to assist and support GB-WPD in all relevant fields for planning, construction and implementation of the HHPs.

The GB-WPD intends to engage the services of a reputable consulting firm (or joint venture) to provide engineering consultancy services as Project Implementation Consultant (PIC). Additional services including topographical and geological / geotechnical investigations will be required.

The PIC services are divided into 2 phases:

Stage I: Project Review, Development and Execution of an Investigation Program, Detail Design and Tendering

Stage II: Project Implementation
