Giant Data Center Up and Running in Munich

The “Industrial AI Cloud” was developed by Telekom, Nvdia, SAP and others and is being hailed as a “factory for AI.”

The facility features nearly 10,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. It has a capacity of up to 0.5 exaFLOPS of computing power - enough, according to Telekom, for all 450 million EU citizens to use an AI assistant simultaneously.

This resource will be available to businesses, researchers and public institutions. Its data will be kept under European Union jurisdiction – in line with Germany and Europe’s policy of digital sovereignty.

"We are investing in AI, in Germany as a business location and in Europe,” said Telekom CEO Tim Höttges in a statment. “We are proving here that Europe can do AI."
