The three partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) late this fall on the margins of the “Hydrogen Technology World Expo” in Hamburg.
The project aims to ensure effective supply of H2 via Germany’s largest port to the European hinterland. It will seem to locate other companies and institutions to form a consortium that spans the entire hydrogen value chain.
“Our goal is to reliably supply the industry with hydrogen via our European logistics network,” said Annette Walter, the chief financial officer of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (Hamburg Port and Logistics), one of Europe’s leading logistics companies. “The partnership with Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Daimler Truck is an important step toward making liquid hydrogen more widely available and jointly advancing decarbonization.”
