Construction Works for Closure of the Existing Dumpsite of Vlorë Municipality and the Other Dumpsites

Project: 

• The Integrated Solid Waste Management Programme aims at the improvement of the solid waste sector in the northern part of the Region of Vlora (Municipality of Vlora and Municipality of Selenica). The objective of the Programme is to contribute to sustainable solid waste management in the region and thereby to support the implementation of the Albanian Waste Strategy and the harmonisation of Albanian standards with environmental standards of the EU. By investments in solid waste infrastructure and accompanying measures in the northern part of the region of Vlora (Municipality of Vlora and Municipality of Selenica), a modern integrated waste management system shall be introduced.

Requested Services:

• Supply/installation and construction of measures to close and rehabilitate existing dumpsites in Vlore and Selenica Municipality.

Lot 1 (mandatory) - Closure and Rehabilitation of Existing Dumpsites of Vlora and Vlora Old Airfield:

• Waste transportation, relocation, compaction, and profiling.
• Construction of ring road and service road in gravel layers.
• Degasification and gas treatment: Construction of a horizontal gas collection system and supply and delivery of a booster and flare unit.
• Surface water drainage.
• Supply and installation of landfill capping system: supply and installation of geo-synthetic-drainage mat and HDPE geomembrane.
• Gates, fences, and landscaping.

Lot 2 (optional) - Closure and Rehabilitation of Existing Dumpsite of Orikum:

• Waste transportation, relocation, compaction, and profiling.
• Construction of ring road and service road in gravel layers.
• Degasification and gas treatment: Construction of bio-windrows.
• Surface water drainage.
• Construction of a soil-reinforced retaining wall.
• Supply and installation of landfill capping system: Supply and installation of geosynthetic drainage mat and HDPE geomembrane.
• Gates, fences, and landscaping.
   

Lot 3 (optional) - Closure and Rehabilitation of Existing Small Dumpsites in the Vlora and Selenica Region:

• Waste transportation, relocation, compaction, and profiling.
• Dumpsite rehabilitation and waste covering.
