Consulting Services, Project Implementing Consultant (PIC) to assist MPPMCL and Discoms

Project

The Project concerns investments in the strengthening of distribution network of Madhya Pradesh (MP). The purpose of the Project is to contribute to a more stable, secure and climate and environmentally friendly energy supply in India by upgrading and strengthening distribution networks in Madhya Pradesh. This particular component concerns the implementation of Smart Meters and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The Project is managed by MPPMCL. ´MPPMCL and the MP DISCOMs´ are hereafter referred to as ´MPPMCL´; since MPPMCL is the holding for the three MP DISCOMs.

Tenders have been already executed and awarded to 2 Advanced Metering Infrastructure Providers (AMISP) as contractors in 2 Discoms and bid process is in progress in 1 Discom. Hence, the main task of the PIC will be in supporting the implementation in the context of KfW’s requirements as the financing IFI as agreed between MPPMCL and KfW.

Brief Description of the Contract:

• The tasks of the PIC will include supervision of design works, installation works and commissioning The PIC supporting PEA will be responsible for supporting the management and implementation of the Project in its role comparable to the provisions listed in the yellow book of FIDIC Engineer.
