Consulting Services, Credit Lines for MSME (Agricultural Sector)

Brief description of the Contract:

The services requested under this assignment with a duration of initially three years and an extension option for three additional years aim at streamlining the implementation of the credit lines and agricultural financing provided by KfW to the BdM and enhance the potential impact through technical assistance. This shall be achieved by supporting the BdM throughout the implementation as well as strengthening the capacity of the institution and further selected financial institutions as a whole. Additionally, the access to and use of demand-oriented financial services targeted to the needs of MSMEs – preferably in rural regions – shall be institutionalized and sustainably provided. Within the frame of additional Technical Assistance, MSMEs in the respective regions and sectors shall be supported and trained in order to significantly increase their access to financial products in general and KfW credit lines in particular.

• The services of the consultant shall lead towards achieving the objectives of the project measures and have been broken down into three work packages:

  Work Package 1: Administrative Support to Banco de Mozambique (BdM)

  Work Package 2: General Capacity Building for BdM, PFIs and MSMEs

  Work Package 3: Work Package III: Establishment of an appropriate Environmental and Social Monitoring System (“ESMS”)
