Consulting Services, Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal (Disaster Risk Management and Environmental Protection Project)

Brief description of the Contract:

The German Government through KfW envisages providing a loan to the Chinese Government for the financing of the improvement of the disaster risk management and environmental protection in Pingjiang County / China. The loan also includes the implementation monitoring consultancy (IMC), subject of this invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI).

The project will be co-financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and KfW in the framework of Sino-German Financial Cooperation.

The KfW-financed components of the project consist in three sub-projects (more details in the Invitation document):

Sub-project 4    Integrated water supply in urban and rural Pingjiang

Sub-project 5    Separating rainwater from sewers in urban and rural Pingjiang

Sub-project 6    Rural domestic wastewater treatment and sanitation improvement

Requested Consulting Services:

• Support of the PEA before, during and after the construction stage and monitoring of the implementation of the project through a multi-disciplinary and experienced team of international and national long- and short-term experts. The support to the PEA and the monitoring will also include training, capacity-building, ESHS compliance and reporting.
