Profile of the local business partner

The ITAQ (Instituto Técnico Agrário de Quizenga) project in Angola is a turn-key infrastructure build, to be executed by QGMI, an EPC+F (Engineering, Procurement, Construction + Finance) infrastructure contractor specializing in emerging markets like Africa and LATAC.

This represents a significant opportunity for German manufacturers to join the official German Vendor List and supply the extensive goods and equipment required for the institute. The project con-sortium includes the German design and engineering firm GAUFF Engineering GmbH and is strategically structured to utilize financing backed by the German Export Credit Agency, Euler Hermes (EH).

QGMI is seeking qualified German manufacturers capable of delivering products with a certified German origin, which is the primary requirement to meet the financial mandate. To be eligible, suppliers must be able to provide the necessary IHK Certificates of Origin for the supplied products, thereby aligning with the core conditions of the EH-backed export financing scheme.

Products or services needed

The project requires a comprehensive scope of German-origin products and services across mul-tiple categories. All suppliers must be eligible German manufacturers capable of providing IHK Certificates of Origin.

  1. CIVIL WORKS & BUILDING MATERIAL: Steel (Rebar, Mesh, Structural Steel, Bridges, Handrails), Asphalt, Concrete Systems (Formworks, Shoring, Admixtures), Waterproofing, Paint, Doors, Windows, Façade/Cladding, Insulation, Roofing, Tiles, Ceiling, Sanitary Equipment, and Dry-wall Systems.

     

  2. HEAVY MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT: Earthmoving/Paving Machinery, Heavy Construction Trucks/Vehicles, Farming Machinery/Equipment, Crushing/Screening Plants, Batch-ing/Mixing Plants, along with associated Spare Parts, Wear Parts (Tyres), and Consuma-bles (Oil, Filters, Lubricants).

     

  3. MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing): Various Pipes & Fittings (HDPE, PVC, Car-bon, Galvanized), Valves, Water Fire Pumps, Cable Conductors, Gensets (Diesel generators), Switchgears, Surge Arresters, Lighting Systems, UPS, Power/Distribution Panels, Fire Fighting Systems, Fire Sprinklers, and Drainage.

     

  4. SPECIALIZED SYSTEMS & INTEGRATION: ICT Systems, Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control), Fire Detection/Alarm, Audiovisual Equipment, BMS (Building Management System), HVAC Systems (Split, Piping & Ducts), MEP Service Integration, and Solar Pho-tovoltaic Integration (PV Modules, Inverters, Trackers).

     

  5. WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION: Modular WTP (Water Treatment Plants) and WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plants), Stormwater Drainage, Flood Control, and Irrigation Systems.

     

  6. FURNITURE: Office, School/Education, Public Area, and Locker Furniture.

     

  7. SERVICES & OTHERS: Detailed Engineering/Technical Assistance, E&S Studies, Ocean Freight/Logistics, Third-Party QA/QC/Testing, Modular Offices/Prefab Buildings, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and Mechanical Workshop Tools.
This business opportunity has been identified by the Sector Expert of the Africa Business Network, who is based at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce or Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in the target market. The Sector Expert programme is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
