Die angolanische Initiative Raízes Vivas bietet deutschen Unternehmen die Beteiligung an einer skalierbaren Plattform für regenerative Landwirtschaft an, die kleinbäuerliche Produktion in strukturierte, exportorientierte Wertschöpfungsketten überführt. Das Projekt erschließt klimaresiliente Bezugsquellen (u. a. Kaffee, Honig, Moringa) und schafft Zugang zu neuen, nachhaltigen Beschaffungsmärkten.

Profile of the local business partner

Raízes Vivas is an integrated regenerative agriculture and rural development initiative, promoted by Espaço Agrícola in Cacuso, Malanje. It combines agroforestry-based production, cooperative structuring and rural skills development with improved market access. 

The project is designed as an operational, on-the-ground platform that aggregates smallholder production and organizes it into reliable, export-ready value chains, supported by local quality control, traceability and technical assistance. This enables consistent supply and reduces market entry barriers for international partners.

Products or services needed

The platform combines:

  • Agroforestry and organic production;
  • Cooperative development and training;
  • Aggregation, quality control and traceability;
  • Development of export-oriented value chains (e.g. coffee, honey, moringa, horticulture).

Raízes Vivas is seeking partnerships with German companies. This offers concrete opportunities to 

  • source agricultural products;
  • provide technologies (e.g. irrigation, processing, traceability solutions);
  • co-develop sustainable supply chains or pilot projects. 

The business case lies in gaining access to new sourcing markets while benefiting from reduced operational complexity and improved quality assurance through a local partner.

 

This business opportunity has been identified by the Sector Expert of the Africa Business Network, who is based at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce or Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in the target market. The Sector Expert programme is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
