WAPIE SARL is an environmentally-focused start-up company specializing in the collection, recycling and transformation of industrial waste (plastics, tires, used oils, cardboard, biomedical waste, etc.) into reusable finished products such as charcoal, pyrolysis oil, and biofuel. The Ivorian company was established in 2020 in response to the growing challenge of plastic pollution in Côte d’Ivoire.
Products or services needed
WAPIE SARL aims to deploy a network of processing units across Côte d’Ivoire and the wider West African region to massively convert plastic and tire waste into high-value products such as pyrolysis oil and biofuel. Pyrolysis (or thermolysis) is one of their key technologies. This process breaks down waste materials at temperatures ranging from 400°C to 900°C in the absence of oxygen.
