New State Program Puts EUR 75 Million into Greentech
Germany has launched the “GreenTech Innovation Competition” – it will fund 21 projects to sustainably and digitally transform the German economy.

The goal of the new initative, in the words of the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, is to strengthen Germany and Europe as high-tech locations for companies with digital business models.
It is aimed particularly at small-to-medium-sized enterprises and will help Germany and Europe achieve their climate-protection goals.
“So-called green markets around the world have enormous growth potential, and companies in Germany, especially SMEs, can secure a strong position in those markets,” said State Secretary Franziska Brantner in a statement. “With the GreenTech Innovation Competition, we want to bolster the innovative potential in the area of digital environmenal technology.”
