Consulting Services for Preparation and Implementation of Immediate Measures for Water Supply and Sanitation (Water Sector)

Project:

• The Objective of the Project is thus: “The population of Tunduma and Vwawa-Mlowo benefits from improved climate-resilient water resources management and access to safe water and sanitation.”

Requested Services:

• PC1 – Source Development / Groundwater Studies and Monitoring Equipment
  • Carry out a comprehensive wells inventory survey
  • Conduct pumping tests and water quality analysis of relevant boreholes
  • Carry out detailed groundwater surveys and establish exploratory wells
  • Drilling of the necessary and feasible number of production wells
  • Prepare tender documents for the groundwater monitoring equipment
  • Coordinate the procurement and supervise the installation of groundwater monitoring
  equipment

   

• PC2 – Water Supply Infrastructure and PC3 – Sanitation Infrastructure
  • Feasibility study and detailed designs of all necessary water supply and sanitation
  infrastructure for both towns
  • Preparation of all required ESIA-studies for the implementation of the infrastructure
  • Tender documents for all related procurement and construction works
  • Technical / administrative support to the MoW throughout the tender processes
  • Technical assistance services for site supervision
  • Development and supervision of conservation measures to protect water sources
  • Capacity building for the WSSAs and the Ministry’s PIU
  • Realization of sanitation and hygiene sensitization campaigns
