Pair of Software Start-Ups Land Giant Funding Rounds

Two young German-based companies have received massive venture capital investments that will allow them to take the next steps on their journeys to success.

Berlin-based Parloa took in USD 350 million in Series D funding, raising its total valuation to USD-three billion. The AI agent developer says that it tripled the company’s worth within only eight months.

Parloa uses artificial intelligence to replace human contact center agents, a niche highly in demand now and “one of the biggest opportunities that has ever existed in software.”

Meanwhile, osapiens from the southwestern German city of Mannheim has become a unicorn after concluding a USD 100 million series C round. The company focuses on sustainability and compliance software and has 2400 customers worldwide including Coca-Cola NorthAmerica and the supermarket chains Lidl, Carrefour and Tesco.
